Mike has been in construction most of his life, he started out back in the late 60's working with His Stepfather on numerous projects . Mike worked his way up through the ranks as a carpenters helper, carpenter, foreman and superintendent. Mike's background began in residential/commercial construction. He found his niche early on as a finish carpenter specializing in doors, casework and trim. When he became focused on commercial work as a superintendent he was known for his creative problem solving in historic renovation and remodeling/adaptive reuse. He has worked for Daniel and Company, Inc. from 2005-2009, James Fox and Sons in the 80's, Ritchie-Curbow construction out of Newport News in the 70's, He specialized in historic renovation work with Daniel and Company while he was a Superintendent with them. He is adept at problem solving and related re-use / re-purposing within the context of the older home.
Excellence and Professionalism
Some of his notable projects include the renovation and restoration of the Presidents House at William and Mary College, the Historic Henrico Theatre, the 4th Police Precinct in Richmond, Va.
Mike has always been involved in construction and specializes in older home renovations. He is always ready for a new challenge. Mike has numerous clients in the Central Virginia area whom he has done work for on and off for over 30 years. He is licensed and insured in the State of Virginia, also the city of Richmond, As well as attaining certification by the EPA for Renovation Repair and Painting rules in construction.-(lead rules)
